An Associate Member of The Acceleration Group, Tim Howard founded the Capital Strategy Group, LLC in 2004 and serves as its Managing Director. The mission of Capital Strategy Group (CSG) is to help build the next generation of life science and Bio IT companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. This mission will be achieved through two distinct activities: providing high quality deal flow, due diligence support, and company governance support to leading private equity firms; and, establishing a small fund focused on seed and early stage investing in life science and Bio IT companies prior to, or in conjunction with later stage VC investments.
Tim Howard founded Galt Associates in 1994 and served as its CEO until April 2004. During his tenure at Galt, Mr. Howard was twice selected as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist (Washington, DC Metro area) in the life sciences sector, and led Galt to positions in the Deloitte & Touche National Fast 500, and Virginia Fast 50 in 2002 and 2003. Mr. Howard remains actively involved with the future strategy and governance of the company at the Board level.
Mr. Howard received a BS degree in Physics and Mathematics from Ursinus College and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. Mr. Howard serves as a guest lecturer at the Wharton School's Annual Private Equity Boot Camp
